Universidad del Valle de Guatemala

UVG is an educational system, based at the University in Guatemala City, and extending its teaching to high school, 2 year technical/community colleges, in-service teacher training and community outreach. In its mission to increase access to education, especially for the Mayan peoples and women, UVG has established an extension campus in the Highlands known as Altiplano, and a second extension campus on the South Coast, known as PROESUR.

About UVG Foundation

The UVG Foundation (formerly called Del Valle Foundation) was created by a group of US citizens committed to the idea that education is the key to Guatemala’s development of civil society and prosperity for all its citizens. It is a US Foundation, governed by an independent board of US citizen directors, providing oversight for all gifts and grants from US donors.

The UVG Foundation’s mission is to raise funds for scholarships, endowments and build alliances with US donors, corporations and non-governmental organizations to support the University of the Valley of Guatemala (UVG) in its mission.
